Narumi Sushi Reviews

I was really sad to see samurai sushi closed down and replaced. I used to go there every birthday with my mom. It was nice seeing that the birthday wheel is still there. I will say really great price and good quality for ayce. You just order a lot at once for the wait time as it was busy. I'm happy that one of my favorite places was not taken over by a bad spot.

For an ACYE sushi place, it's pretty decent for its price. My only gripe is that it isn't obvious that there would be a charge for the drinks since I couldn't find any dollar signs/pricing on the drink menu. Bright side, I only got one glass of unsweetened tea. Service is quick but slow at the same time. It might have been because we came during a busy hour, but they are quick to bring your food. Slow to come over to take your order so if recommend to order several rolls+appetizer at the beginning rather than stagger it too much. I really like the garlic sake nigiri so if you like seared salmon, ordered that. The escolar could be better and the yuzu hamachi, yuzu shiro maguro could be better. (I'm not a fan of white fish so that could be it). The house salad and edamame comes in a small rice bowl which is perfect for individual serving. For the octopus karage and soft shell crab, they are over fried. Crunchy. But it hits the craving and they let you decide on how many pieces you want. Two pieces soft shell crab = one whole soft shell crab. Ambiance is okay. The ube ice cream and green tea mochi was good though.

The location of this restaurant is in the border of Folsom and Rancho Cordova. The building where the restaurant is located is very indescript. There are lots of overgrown greeneries/weeds in the parking lot. But once inside, I was transported to a world of sushi heaven. We got seated and looking at the menu in no time. Our orders were served in less than 10 minutes. I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients! The seafood to rice ratio was very appropriate. All the tables were occupied by the time 12nn came, understandably so as this was a Saturday. This place is a keeper.

This is one of the more affordable AYCE sushi restaurant in town. The menu was simple and their rolls were good. The highlights were the friendly staff, their appetizers, handrolls, and sashimi. Overall, we had a great time and left with our bellies full.

Bathrooms are terrible! Broken toilet/urinals. Will not flush... and out of toilet seat covers. Other people's waste left behind..... Servers seems shy, very quiet but happy to help. They were attentive to making sure our needs were met. Water, ordering, and getting our dishes quick & efficiently. My fave items on the menu had to be the garlic nigiris. The smokey on top of the fishes were delicious! Everything else on the menu were cool. I enjoyed it. Ordered some rolls, hand roll, appetizers, and dessert. Good quality sashimi. Kitchen/sushi chefs did take some time to get orders out. Perhaps maybe it got busy?? Came for dinner on a weekend. $36 AYCE is not a bad price for what was received.

I visited Narumi Sushi in Rancho Cordova, CA on Tuesday, 2/11/25, around 2 PM. In my dining experience, I decided to opt for the AYCE lunch option. I was able to try the following: * Miso Soup * Cream Cheese Wontons * Egg Fried Rice * Chicken Teriyaki * Hamachi (Yellowtail) Hand Roll * Rainbow Roll * Hamachi Lava The appetizers such as the miso soup and cream cheese wontons were delicious. The chicken teriyaki was just decent. The egg-fried rice was a bit underwhelming in flavor. All of the sushi rolls were satisfactory in taste and quality. The customer service was standard and met expectations. The dining room area and bathroom were clean. The price point of the AYCE meal was great. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Narumi Sushi. I will be returning here in the future, as I look forward to trying more food from the menu.
